Aven provides evidence-informed occupational therapy assessments and treatment with a clear, objective, and transparent approach. Our nervous system–centered method helps clients feel safe, supporting open communication and a fuller understanding of functional needs. This leads to fair, accurate documentation and more sustainable outcomes for both clients and insurers.

Why partner with Aven?

Accurate understanding begins with safety, not pressure.

At Aven, warmth and rapport are the foundation.

Clients are met with care and respect, not scrutiny. Feeling genuinely supported reduces fear and masking, allowing people to show up more fully as themselves.

  1. Somatic and nervous-system lens – We understand how stress, trauma, neurodivergence, and chronic health conditions affect daily function.

  2. Clear, fair assessment – We are transparent, collaborative, and direct, while maintaining objective clinical standards.

  3. Clarity that serves everyone – When clients feel safe, the picture that emerges is more complete and accurate, supporting ethical documentation, realistic planning, and outcomes that are truly sustainable.

Movement & Behavioural Activation Support

Maddy is a registered kinesiologist and certified Pilates instructor who supports clients with gentle movement between occupational therapy sessions. Her role focuses on behavioural activation and helping clients apply OT strategies in daily life.

This may look like meeting clients at a local gym, going for walks, or supporting the gradual return to movement in ways that feel safe, steady, and supportive. Maddy works closely with the Aven team to help clients rebuild confidence in their bodies, particularly when returning to movement after periods of pain, shutdown, or overwhelm.

She has experience supporting individuals living with chronic pain and uses an approach that prioritizes safety and trust.
